Policies and Parent/Student Handbook

Below you will find our Parent/Student Handbook for the 2018-2019 dance season.  The link will always be available here for you, however, it is helpful to save it on your device as you might need to refer to it throughout the year.  We are trying to reduce our paper use whenever possible, but a hard copy will be available when requested.  As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions!

On the second page, you will find the Table of Contents.  Clicking on each section will bring you to that portion of the Handbook, making it easier for you to navigate!

Parents and Students Handbook 2018-2019

Outlined below are the policies agreed upon at registration:

Registration

For the 2018-2019 dance year: A non-refundable $35 annual registration fee or $70 per family is due at the time of registration to cover the cost of setting up and maintaining student accounts.  Registration fees will be posted to your account within 24-48 hours and charged to your card on file. Failure to pay your registration fee at the time of registration may result in losing your place in the class.

Beginning in 2019: An annual membership fee of $40 per student or $75 per family will be charged April 1st to current families. The annual membership fee includes priority registration and the Recital video digital download, as well as birthday party discounts. Reminders will be sent via email in February and March, and any family wishing to opt out must provide written notification (email) no later than March 15th.

There is no registration or membership fee for the Summer Dance session.

Payment Policy

Payment is due in full on the first of every month.  Accounts not paid in full by the 10th of the month will be assessed a $10 late fee.  A credit card is required to be on file for all accounts.  If you would like to pay by cash or check, please note your registration and choose the E-payment schedule option “Do Not Bill- backup card” in the parent portal, otherwise your card will be charged on the 1st of each month.  All unpaid accounts will have their cards charged on the 20th of the month.  Cash or check payments are accepted during class hours via the tuition box outside of Studio A.  Credit cards are accepted online only.  There is a $35.00 returned check charge for any checks returned by the bank.

Dropping/Changing Class:

Written or email notice is required by the 20th of the month to avoid being charged tuition for the following month.  This allows us time to offer that class space to another student.  Students will be charged monthly tuition until written notice is given to drop a class.  Any dancer that doesn’t attend class for 2 months will be dropped from the roster, however, the unpaid tuition will still be due.  Any dancer that drops from classes or the studio will forfeit any costumes or fees they have previously paid.

There will be no refunds.

Tuition and Fees

I understand and agree to the following regarding tuition and fees. All listed fees will be posted and due with tuition on the dates noted:

Tuition: Monthly tuition is due by the 1st of each month, and a late fee of $10 will be assessed for payments received after the 10th of the month. Please note, when choosing to pay monthly, tuition is calculated by the number of classes per year then divided into 9.5 payments for September-June, with May and June posted together as 1.5 months to allow enough time for balances to be taken care of before the end of the year.

Costume Fees: $35 deposit per dancer per dance will be due November 1st and the remainder of $35 due on January 1st.  One pair of tights per dancer is included in the costume fee.

Competition Fees: Performance Team and Hip Hop Troupe competition fees are due October 1st. All non-team/troupe competition classes’ fees will be due December 1st, including Musical Theatre, Contemporary Modern, Lyrical, Ballet Team, Tap Team, and Production. Competition fees will be announced by September 1st.

Recital Digital Video Download Fee: $15 due on April 1st if opting out of the annual membership for 2019-2020. Please see our Recital Handbook and/or Parent/Student Handbook for more information.
