Dancing Youngsters
Ages 18 Months to 3 years
Experience the delight of our ‘Dance With me’ Class. In these sessions, parents get to dance with their children, learning moves based on ballet and jazz. Through warming up, stretching, and role-playing, we can enhance children’s motor skills and at the same time develop a love for dance.
Dress Code:
Let comfort lead the way in any color leotard, pink tights, and soft, pink ballet shoes. Leggings and tank tops are also perfect for our littlest dancers. Boys can rock a white or black t-shirt, black sweatpants, and black ballet shoes.
Just a Tip:
Eyes here, Parents! Feel free to join in! This is your chance to groove and assist your kid in every move. You can also watch your child discover the JOY of Dance. Remember, it’s all about fun and connection!
Tiny Stars
Ages 3 to 4 years
Whether they’re moving like graceful animals or in a quest to find ‘gems,’ the lessons here at JOY of Dance utilize imaginative role-playing and creative props to teach kids the fundamentals. Twirl your way into the magical world of ballet and tap.
Dress Code:
Any color of leotard, pink tights, pink canvas ballet shoes, and shiny black tap shoes are all okay. Boys are invited to dance in comfort with a white or black t-shirt, black sweatpants, and their own ballet and tap shoes.
Just a Tip:
Dancers who want to join the Tiny Stars Program, no matter if they are potty trained or not, are allowed to register. Every star can shine bright here at JOY of Dance.
The Dress Code
We are not just a studio, we are a community who shares the love for movement
- Hair neatly up in a ponytail, out of dancer’s face
- No jewelry should be worn to class except stud earrings in pierced ears.
- Ballet shoes should have a stretch binding, eliminating the need for the drawstring. If a drawstring is used, please pull it out of the shoe. This helps to avoid dancers tripping on elastics and teachers spending time on tying them.
- Dancers ages 10 and up must bring a water bottle with them to class.
Benefits of the Dress Code
Encourages discipline
Increases a sense of belonging and school pride
Promotes an accepting and positive environment

“Wonderful dance studio! My daughter loves it and I love that they have toys and books to entertain my boys while she dances”
Lisa Bergeron Kelly
Dance Parent
“Dance studio has welcoming atmosphere. However, my daughter was a bit apprehensive at times being only 3 yrs old and very shy. Her teachers continued to support her and was extremely patient and understanding. She eventually joined the class and I could instantly tell that my child is learning skills far beyond what is demonstrated on the dance floor self confidence, positive attitude, respect, caring and kindness, which is a reflection of Instructors. We are so excited to watch our daughter grow with the Joy of Dance Family!
