Dress Code:

Shine in any color spaghetti strap leotard, pink or tan tights, pink canvas split soled ballet shoes. Black shorts (no leggings) or a ballet skirt may be worn over the leotard and tights. No shirts are to be worn over leotards for ballet class. Dancers may wish to wear a ballet sweater and/or leg warmers in the wintertime. For boys, you can show your moves in black pants with a white, grey, or black t-shirt and black ballet/black tap/black jazz shoes. 

Move to the groove of R&B music and dynamic beats of street dance here at our Hip Hop Classes. Here at Joy of dance, our classes offer a dynamic platform for self-expression through freestyle, movement and innovative choreography. Pop and lock to the beat of your own drums and develop athleticism and creativity at our Hip Hop Haven. 

Dress Code:

Flex your power moves in comfortable clothes and black sneakers with a white sole (no street sneakers allowed). While a leotard is not required, tops should extend full length past the hips. This is to help extend the dancer’s line, make the class more uniform and aid the teacher when making corrections.

Dance to the rhythm of passion here at Joy of Dance. Our Tap Dance Class combines musicality and precise footwork, which creates auditory and visual spectacle. Dive into this footloose dancing class and develop a spectrum of techniques. Together let’s produce clear, resonant sounds while crafting the cadence of joy.

Enjoy every step in any color spaghetti strap leotard (black may be required for recital), tan tights, and tan slip-on jazz shoes(no ties). You can also dance in a form-fitting top, black shorts or leggings may be worn over the leotard and tights.

Indeed, the drama and glamor of the world of theater can be alluring, however, here at our Musical Theater Classes, we don’t just develop stars to perform, we develop artists to create. Our classes focus on developing technical prowess and honing the skill to play different characters and emotions through dance routines. Black shorts or a ballet skirt may be worn over the leotard and tights. No shirts are to be worn over leotards for ballet class.  Dancers may wish to wear a ballet sweater and/or leg warmers in the winter time.

Experience the zenith of ballet training here at our Pre-Pointe Classes at Joy of Dance. Designed for those aspiring ballerinas, we offer strengthening exercises, complex barre and center work. Twirl in tranquility and develop resilience, dedication, and grace. Master the art of Pointe work here at Joy of Dance. 

Dress Code:

Spin and turn in any color spaghetti strap leotard, pink or tan tights, pink canvas split soled ballet shoes. You can also dance in black shorts (no leggings) or a ballet skirt may be worn over the leotard and tights. Remember, no shirts are to be worn over leotards for ballet class. In addition to that, dancers may wish to wear a ballet sweater and/or leg warmers in the winter time. Lastly, dancers MUST wear convertible/footed tights with Pointe shoes to assist with proper technique.
